Simple Project Scheduling

For many small organizations, using a comprehensive application such as MS Project to perform simple task scheduling is significant overkill, requires additional cost, and necessitates undertaking a steep learning curve. One of our clients wished to have a straightforward tool that could pull task and resource information from an existing Excel database and generate a simple Gantt-type scheduling chart for their small group of employees. The routine that we developed was customized to conform to their data table format (requiring no additional data structure rework) and provides the level of reporting desired.
